Boone Grove Boys Capture South Bend Clay
2007-08 Invitational Title
Consistency Key to Team's Championship Run
The Boone Grove Boys bowling team served notice that they are a team to be reckoned with this season.  The
young but experienced Wolves, led by 1st team all-stater Lynn Strohl, averaged 198.8 across 15 baker games
to defeat 22 schools competing at Chippewa Lanes October 27, 2007 in the 2nd annual Clay Baker
Invitational.  The Wolves fought off a late surge by New Prairie for a 58-pin victory.  Porter-Laporte conference
favorites Chesterton and Michigan City finished third and fourth, while host Clay rounded out the top five.

Team members were Sophomores Jeff Yankauskas and Jimmy Kraushaar, Juniors Dan Bridegroom, Ryan Hill,
and Lynn Strohl.  The team showed their maturity as they rebounded from a tournament low 168 during game
14, which dropped them into second place, with a closing 220 to seal the victory.  With the exception of the
14th game, the Wolves held the tournament lead from game 6 until the final bell.
