MIke Bafia rebounded from a less than spectacular 154 with
an electrifying 300 to lead Lowell to a convincing 16-4 victory
over previously unbeaten Boone Grove. Bafia's perfecto is
the fourth in conference history.
Bafia had alot of help in dismantling the Wolves as Dylan
Meyers fired a 468 to lead all bowlers and Matt Milcarek
chipped in with 434. The Red Devils as a team rolled a 1,106
- 2,033, both conference highs.
Jimmy Kraushaar paced the Wolves with a 429.
In the match of the day, Hebron upended defending
conference champions Kankakee Valley 10.5 -9.5. The
Hawks jumped out to a 8-2 lead and then held on as
Sophomore Tony Urbanski struck out in the 10th to shoot 225
and tie his opponent for the deciding 1/2 point. Without that
clutch performance, KV would have earned the victory based
on total pins. Senior Mike Fazzini paced the Hawks attack with
a 250-450. Casey Grover led the Kougars with a 447.
North Newton's Kenny Stafford turned in his best set of the
season with a nice 241-458. His Spartans defeated Hanover
Central for their first win of the year.

15.5 - 4.5 to gain control of first place with a 4-0 mark. The Wolves were
led by Freshman Paige Kraushaar (left) who fired conference highs of
269 - 469. Senior Lexi Vojvodich and Junior Natalie Morgavan
complimented the freshman with 337 and 312 respectively. Vickie
Nichols paced Lowell with a 355.
In the other big match, Hebron upended rival and previously unbeaten
KV 1,593 - 1,534 (10-10). Emily O'Leary led the Hawks with 237-393,
while Rachel Ellenson led the Kougars with 368.
