Wow.  Where to start?
Jimmy Kraushaar's second IHSB career 300
and career best 545 series.  Boone Grove
Boys wild 2nd game comeback, turning a
9-1 deficit, into, a convincing 11-9
grounding of the high flying conference
leading Hebron Hawks.  The Boone Grove
girls shocking victory over the defending
conference champions.  How about Casey
Grover's 202-201 victory over Lowell's
Trevor Nantais to allow KV to sneak by with
an 11-9 win.  Or, Randy Bartkiewicz leading
North Newton past Rensselaer 12-8 with his
454 series.
Take your pick, on a night when the lanes proved to be somewhat more difficult than normal,
exciting matches, filled with clutch shot making was the norm.  Heartbreak was complimented
with elation across the entire house.  The match between the Hebron and Boone Grove girls
presented a roller coaster of emotion as strikes were tossed along with gutter balls and splits,
but, nobody gave up, or gave in.  Boone's Lexi Vojvodich, trailing most of game 1, relied on a
strong tenth frame to win by one pin providing what proved to be a pivotal point in the 11-9
BG win.  Natalie Morgavan (BG) entered in the second game to toss a 152 good enough to
secure her point, but not until putting her coaches and teammates through a stressful 10th
frame.  Then watching opponent Jenna Sarkey (HE) make an unbelievable shot at the
3-6-7-10 only to see the 3 slide in front of the 7 pin allowing Morgavan to hold onto the critical
point.  Then watching as both anchors fight back demons in their closing frames.  What a
match, what a night.

How about KV's Casey Grover and Lowell's Trevor Nantais go toe to toe in game two with the
match on the line.  Both stepped up in the 10th and threw consecutive strikes, however
Grover was able to notch the third one while Nantais left a single pin, allowing KV and Grover
to slip by 202-201, keeping their repeat title hopes alive and well.

Lets not end without talking about the "Bash at the Bighouse".  Boone Grove - Hebron Round
2.  Hebron defeated Boone earlier in the year for the first time in many many years.  Hebron,
current conference leaders, were looking to take a strangle hold on the conference race with
a victory.  They overcame Jimmy Kraushaar's second career IHSB 300 game in game 1,
winning 9-1.  But the Wolves were not going to be denied, they stormed back in game two
behind a complete team effort (1,057 game) to secure a 11-9 victory.  Will Round 3 take
place in a few weeks?  KV, Lowell, and Rensselaer will all have something to say about that
as the boys conference race is the best that I can remember.

What a night, what a season.  Gotta love high school bowling like this.
