Boone Grove 8th Grader rolls 653 enroute to Girls Individual Title
Boone Grove's Paige Kraushaar rolled games of 209, 219, 207,
and 225 for a 653 total (best 3 of 4 games) to easily outdistance
runnerup Carly Larson (Merrillville) by 43 pins.  Both region
sensations lapped the state's elite 8th grade girls as the third
place finisher was far back at 545.  Kraushaar's 207 was the
highest game any bowler tossed out (Boys and Girls).   The
boys state champion is Nathan Maciejewski from Kahler Middle
captured the team title.   In all, 120 bowlers competed in the
finals at Cooper's Sport Bowl in Anderson on May 16, 2009.

The week before, Kraushaar rolled a 662 qualifying set to
capture the individual regional title.  For the 8 games, she
averaged an impressive 215.

Hebron's Tayler Sinkiewicz claimed 2nd place honors in division
2 (121-150 average) with a  470 series, while Hebron's Tiffany
Berdine fell just short of the medal podium, finishing 5th in
division 2 with a 464.
