Hebron downs KV Boys in Baker Brawl
Grabs Control of Conference Race
The conference's first position round provided the sparse
crowd at Country Lanes with some excitement and
outstanding performances.
The Hebron boys handed defending conference champions
their second loss of the season with a stunning 12-8 baker
victory. Hebron moved to 6-1, 1 1/2 games up on KV and
Boone Grove. Boone defeated Rensselaer in the nights
tightest match. The Wolves edged the Bombers by 17 pins as
both teams won 5 games. Boone's senior All-Stater, Jimmy
Kraushaar anchored the attack, stringing 16 consecutive
strikes during the middle stages of the tight match, but, it was
some clutch spare shooting by sophomore John Yankauskas
during game 10 that allowed the defending sectional
champions to up their record to 4-2.
The Kankakee Valley girls hammered conference leaders
Hebron 16-4 to move into a tie for first with Boone Grove at
5-1. The Wolves downed Lowell 16-4. Hebron falls to 5-2,
1/2 game behind the leaders.
