"Don't count us out yet" was the collective response from the
defending conference champions.  Both the Hebron girls and
Kankakee Valley boys secured convincing, no overwhelming,
victories against major conference threats, after both fell from
the top spots last week.   The champions both instilled their
wills and flexed their muscles at the Strike Zone in
Rensselaer.

The Hebron girls defeated previously unbeaten Boone Grove
18-2, and the match wasn't even that close.  Emily O'leary
paced a balanced and leathal Hawk attack with a 392.
Teammates Jenna Sarkey and Jamie Sherman chipped in with
356 and 340.

The Kankakee Valley boys manhandled the Lowell Red Devils
to stay 1/2 game back on new conference leaders Hebron.
Leading the KV assault were Casey Grover (421) and Justin
Shepard (413).  Matt Milcarek and Mike Bafia paced the Red
Devils, who just last week fired conference bests in
dismantling Boone Grove, with 414 and 423.

In one for the ages, the Hebron boys defeated arch rival and
historical nemesis Boone Grove for the first time in nearly
eight years.   Tim Victor paced the Hawks and the conference
with 260-443.
